I come from a long line of True Believers, but tom I come from a long line of True Believers, but tomorrow, I’m voting as if my life depends on it, because it does.

We have lived through one of the worst floods in our nation’s history, and during the emergency and aftermath, our community came to the frightening realisation that no one was in charge.

While we ripped the guts from our homes, and searched for caravans and tents to house our neighbours, we were met with the Liberal Party’s unique brand of heartlessness and were forced to petition for financial government assistance because we weren’t considered floody enough.

Almost four months on, thousands of families across the region are still displaced, there are families in my town still living in their cars, those luckier enough are living with friends, or are in AirBnB’s until they are turfed out again to make way for holidaymakers.

To return this government to power is to reward them for their gross inaction and incompetence. Vote for someone who intimately understands your loss, heartbreak and struggle. Vote for someone who will roll up their sleeves and get shit done. Vote for someone who gives a shit about this planet. Vote for someone with a sense of humour, and is brave enough to ride a prawn in big girl undies. Vote 1 for Mandy Nolan @mandy.4.richmond 💚💚💚
I’m so sad to let you know I’ve busted my foot I’m so sad to let you know I’ve busted my foot, and I can’t perform in ‘Mr Bailey’s Minder’ next month. This show has been rescheduled three times this year because it seems I’m cursed 😉but fortunately my role has been recast. 🍀
Treat yourself to a funny and moving live performance about Art, beauty, family and forgiveness at The Drill Theatre in Mullumbimby, 9-26 June. Tickets in my linktree.

A big thank you to @byronshirecouncil for helping A big thank you to @byronshirecouncil for helping me and other flood-affected artists in the Byron Shire with Recovery Grants today. These floods have been so hard on everyone - but on the back of the last two years - I felt like lying down and not getting back up again after my studio was inundated in February. Thank you for your support, this grant funding will help repair one of my flood-damaged kilns, and get production back on track. 🙏🏽

Coco the sausage dog says, ‘Together we’ve rai Coco the sausage dog says, ‘Together we’ve raised $14K for this flood rebuild, but we still need donations!’ 🐶💕🐶💕

The boys from @lukeatkinsbuilding have done an amazing job repairing this flood-damaged home in one month, between two floods. New kitchen cabinets have been installed and freshly set internal walls are being painted as we speak. There’s lino ready to roll, and the new kitchen bench and sink is coming soon!

It has put the smiles back on the faces of Colley & Snow, an elderly couple who have lived here in South Golden Beach for more than thirty years. This isn’t real estate, this is a home.

There are so many flood affected families in need, but if you can donate, please message me your pledged amount and email address, and we’ll invoice you.

🙏🏽 Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to repair this home so generously! 🙏🏽
